You might be a graduate looking for your first role in the communications industry, or you may have several placements under your belt and be keen to focus on building your social media content creation and management skills. Whatever the case, we want to get to know you.
Social media services are core part of our offering at Definition. Our new executive will work with us to deliver impressive, insightful, game-changing work for our clients. This will involve collaborating closely with the PR & digital strategy director and social media & content consultant to:
Help to design clients’ social media strategies with wider communications objectives in mind (we take an integrated digital approach, including social, content and SEO alongside PR)
Support the social media & content consultant and client teams in the roll-out of these strategies
Develop fresh and purposeful copy, graphic and video content for multi-channel social media campaigns
Contribute to Definition’s own marketing strategy
Coordinate with client teams to ensure that social media client work gets delivered on time and to a high standard and that we always hit our client KPIs
Manage a set of client and agency social media channels day-to-day, updating according to schedule and looking after online communities
Measure results, produce reports and share these with clients
Keep clients and teams up to date with the latest social media trends and news

You are the perfect candidate if you:
Are genuinely interested in social media, how it supports broader communications and business objectives and have a working knowledge of the major platforms
Are a keen learner – social media channels change all the time, and you’ll need to understand how the latest updates impact your client strategies
Strike the perfect balance between being organised and being creative
Communicate well with clients, anticipate their requirements and deliver exceptional service
Are comfortable using task management software and collaborating with teams online
Can manage busy workloads competently and adapt to short-notice content requirements
Want to make a measurable difference to the businesses you’ll work with
Are a pleasure to work with and a team player – you’re considerate of colleagues, generally great to have around, and punctual – you’ll be a vital cog in a well-tuned machine, so your ability to work with client managers, copywriters and other digital specialists is essential
Are a creative thinker – thinking visually to ‘stop the scroll’ and jumping on trends are vital in social media
Are courageous and determined – sometimes there’s no substitute for a bit of grit and determination!
