Lloyd’s List

Lloyd’s List is an online news publication aimed at insurance underwriters working in the maritime and shipping industries. As the world’s longest-published newspaper, it became totally digital in 2013 and continues its 300-year tradition of authoritative, trusted journalism and analysis performed by industry experts. 

If you’re seeking coverage in Lloyd’s List and have industry news or commentary to share, we recommend reaching out to reporter Declan Bush. Declan is based in London and contributes to Lloyd’s daily news coverage across shipping industry beats. He’s interested in a range of topics affecting the maritime sector, including regulation, environment and seafarer safety. Declan doesn’t mind a press release when it’s written well, and he can pick out the key ideas to form his story, but he does prefer contact via email.  

TradeWinds

TradeWinds is aimed at influencers and professionals involved in the global shipping industry, including owners, operators and managers, as well as brokers, consultants, insurers and suppliers. As one of the world’s biggest and most trusted shipping news sources, TradeWinds offers market-leading intelligence and insight that readers can’t find anywhere else.  

With reported publisher unique users reaching over 300,000 in 2021, it’s a great place to share your maritime news and insight into new and ongoing trends affecting the maritime and shipping industry.  

Adam Corbett is a dedicated reporter at TradeWinds who covers insurance, safety, regulation and shipbuilding. When approaching Adam, make sure you can share industry insights quickly. It also helps if you have an industry spokesperson available for specialist comment.  

Maritime Journal

Maritime Journal is a magazine dedicated to inshore, offshore, coastal zone and short sea. Since 1987, it has been a respected source of business information that stays on top of the main issues affecting the maritime and shipping industry. With a strong focus on workboats and industry, 98% of Maritime Journal readers describe the content as informative, and 92% would recommend it to a colleague as a useful source of maritime news.  

The publication is pretty active across its Twitter channel (39K+ followers) so that you can keep track of its daily stories from there too!

It produces a regular podcast (around three episodes a month) that it claims has an audience of around 3,500 regular listeners.

Claiming to focus on the most important  ‘operational, regulatory and technology related stories, including interviews with key executives’ anyone looking to pitch news or analysis should contact editor Marcus Hand or deputy editor Gary Howard.

ShipManagement International

ShipManagement International is a maritime magazine aimed at ship owners and shipping managers. The magazine’s main sections include up-to-the-minute news, as well as views and commentary from maritime professionals about every aspect involved with managing today’s ships. The publication also provides interviews and profile pieces on industry leaders – a great way to raise their profile within the wider maritime industry.  

ShipManagement International often run articles that include in-depth research and analysis, so if you’ve carried out a research project or have data-led thought leadership to share, they may be interested. Any content must be informative and educate ship owners on issues affecting the way they manage their fleets.
