As Definition's Chairman, Nigel is responsible for strategy and governance. His background is predominantly in the professional services environment; he has a law degree and is a chartered accountant (LLB FCA). He spent 20 years as a partner with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte and has held executive and non-executive directorships in several public and private companies.

A former winner of EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, Rose led an MBO of Rixonway Kitchens’ in 2006 and under his tenure turnover more than doubled to £40m.

Prior to joining Definition as a non-executive director, he was Group Finance Director at the technology transfer arm of UMIST (Manchester University).
